Monastell. Since 1941
Monastell is an example of tradition and modernity. Located in a privileged environment such as the Alt Penedés, in the town of San Sadurní d’Anoia, we elaborate artisan cavas following the wine tradition started last century.
History. Founded in 1941 as a family business by the Roca Gibert family. With the aim of creating a product with a unique quality and personality, all our cavas rest in cellar in conditions of silence, half-light and temperature meticulously controlled.
Autochthonous varieties. In Monastell we only work with the local varieties of the area. The Xarel·lo brings body and structure, Macabeo sensuality, Parellada softness and aroma.
Vintages. Over the years we have achieved a close balance between tradition and progress. We use natural cork stopper during breeding, technically superior for aging in the cellar, however we do not give up other advances such as freezing the neck of the bottle for the perfect removal of yeast.
